What will I learn about in ETC?

We educate members on clean energy, business, and their intersection. Topics range from foundational energy systems knowledge to innovative climate change solutions, energy economics, policy, and project finance.

What is ETC's recruitment process?

ETC welcomes everyone interested to apply! We look for a genuine interest in energy, sustainability, and their applications to business. No prior experience is required! We recruit new members near the beginning of each semester; see below for Fall 2024 recruitment info.

Our application (opening Sept 3) is due on September 13, and interviews will run from Sept 16-18. We encourage you to follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram for updates on our recruitment process.

What time commitment can members expect?

All new members are required to complete our six-week NME program, which consists of six, one-hour sessions with a lecture and group case work, plus short deliverables throughout. Outside NME, ETC has general body meetings for site visits, speaker events, and collaborations with other organizations, which occur every 2-3 weeks. Members can generally expect a time commitment of 1-2 hours per week.

What work will I do in ETC?

Through partnerships with Cornell energy and utilities, ETC leads analytical project teams and site visits. Members devise energy solutions in interactive research projects about energy data. The NME capstone project has members research and develop innovative solutions to energy challenges both on campus and abroad.
